The age range covered for children's discos is from 4 – 12 years and they are either private or school functions (I am currently a resident DJ at schools in West London and Surrey).

Working with children requires interaction and the ability to make the disco fun. Interaction, combined with communication, is very important and I do games ie: Traffic lights (if you don’t know the game, on loud music they run, on quieter they walk and when it stops, they stand still, otherwise they are out), musical bumps, musical statues or musical chairs (all these with the younger children).

For all ages, I do dancing competitions, best girl, best boy, best couple etc. Other interactive parts (dependent on age group) include Macarena, Cha Cha Slide, Limbo Dancing, Cheeky Girls, Steps ‘Tragedy’, The Ketchup Song, the Locomotion, the Conga, plus chart hits. If the children are having food during their time at the disco, I play music as background whilst they are seated.

There are 2 packages for children’s discos – prices quoted apply before 5.00 pm on weekdays/weekends (disco must end by 5.00 pm). Extra charge outside M25 radius.

Deluxe Package B includes - 10 COMPETITION PRIZES

All prizes are creative, educational or simply fun (or all three combined!). Prizes are always suited to the age group in question and offer excellent value for money.

Prices for other dates/times outside those quoted above available on request.

MUSIC POLICY FOR CHILDREN'S DISCOS

I am very careful with music choice and will not play music containing offensive lyrics. I will always consult parents and schools on their music policy before the disco.

BIRTHDAY GIFT (FOR CHILDREN ONLY)

At the end of the disco, there is a presentation to the birthday girl or boy of a small birthday gift from Maiden Heaven Discos. (I ask that this part of the disco remain a surprise).
NB: This only applies to children’s birthday parties, not to general school discos.

ENQUIRY AND BOOKING

FOR CHILDREN’S PARTIES - demand is generally very high for a Saturday afternoon. Early booking is recommended. Parties beginning at or after 5.00 pm on either Saturday or Sunday are charged at adult party rates.
